Etex Group are seeking a Company Accountant to manage the Accounting and Finance function at its Horizon Offsite Plant based in Cahir Co Tipperary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely internal management information and group financial reporting whilst supporting operational managers in the company with financial information and analysis. In addition, the candidate will provide support and guidance to the Office manager, Sales and Purchase ledger, Wages and Credit Control functions, facilitating the external and internal audits of the finance function and promote a controls-based environment.

What will you do?


MANAGEMENT INFORMATION & REPORTING


•                Preparation of Monthly management accounts in line with Group reporting requirements
•                Preparation of reporting packs, including Cognos submissions
•                Balance Sheet Reconciliation work in line with month end closing procedures.
•                Support line management with ad hoc reporting queries and requirements
•                Ensure the Accounts system is used appropriately within the business, promoting its use
•                 Use of the Job Accounting module to analyse and report on specific projects

FORECASTING


•                The preparation of forecasts and Business Plans as required for Group Reporting
•                Provide Information to Departmental Management to Analise variances

SYSTEMS INTEGRITY AND DEVELOPMENT


•                Maintain the integrity of and develop the capabilities of the Financial and Management Information using the Sage 200 System
•                Work with Group companies to ensure consistency in financial reporting
•                Approve and manage access rights to Sage and associated systems

OTHER TASKS


•                Oversee preparation for internal and external audits.
•                 Support Financial Controller as required.
•                 Assist Accounts Administration team to ensure compliance with Payroll, PAYE and VAT reporting
•                  Using the Financial data to improve efficiencies throughout the company.

Who are you?


•       Having a recognised (or working towards) accountancy qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA with the ability to interact with colleagues
•       Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
•        Ability to analyse data and communicate it’s meaning to a wider audience.
•        Ability to work at different levels and ensure accuracy of data.
•        Working with SAGE Line 200 Accounting System and or SAP knowledge desirable
•        Have excellent Excel skills at an advanced level (lookup, pivot tables etc)
•        Fluent in English (written and oral)
•        Ideally experienced within a manufacturing environment
