Structural Engineer (Junior and Senior Roles Available)
Reporting to: Design Manager
Location / Dept.: Cahir, Co. Tipperary
Working Hours: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm (Mon to Fri)
Salary: negotiable based on experience
Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Design Manager and Engineering Team to structurally design and coordinate the superstructure from the scheming stage through the design stage and onto construction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Structural Design calculations
- Coordination with Architects and Clients
- Providing technical assistance
- Coordination with external consultants
- Attending project meetings
- Managing the design process from project commencement to site
Requirements (Person Spec):
This position would suit someone who has:
- Strong technical background
- Experience in steel frame design or light gauge steel knowledge would be advantageous
- Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
- Experience with Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot analysis software etc. would be advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritise workload is essential.
- Friendly, confident and people orientated.
- Good organisational skills.
- Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and independent; as well as ability to work cohesively within a team.
Education/Experience:
- 1-2 years work experience in a similar role would be advantageous
- Educational level – Min. Lvl 8 degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Fluency in English (in both spoken and written)
- Competent with steel member analysis and design
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland

The design and engineering of all our projects are inhouse in our state of the art facilities in Cahir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Our facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 square meters of Light Gauge Steel Product per annum based on one 8 hour shift. This is equivalent to 2,000 standard Residential units per annum.
