Assistant Project Manager
Reporting to: Senior Contracts Manager, through a Project Manager
Location / Dept.: Site Based – working on a number of live sites
Working Hours: 8.00 am – 4:30 pm (Mon to Fri)
Salary: €35,000 – €45,000
Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to assist the Project Managers in the supervision and control of the site installation elements of the contracts on hand within Horizon Off Site Ltd.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspection and reporting on quality of site installation works by erectors including re-inspection of any snags encountered.
- Maintaining of internal document sharing system for the site installation stage of the works
- Liaising with erecting crew to ensure that all materials are on site in a timely manner. Ordering such materials from the factory stores.
- Preparing Handover Packs for Health & Safety/Building Control upon completion of the works
- Monitoring progress and maintaining projected v as-built programme
- Recording of on site changes, particularly those of cost variation
Requirements (Person Spec):
This position would suit someone who:
- Has good communication and presentation skills
- Has excellent attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure
- Is able to learn quickly and prioritise workload
- Is friendly, confident and people orientated
- Possesses common sense
- Is practical, administratively very accurate and has good organisational skills
- Have a thorough command and proven knowledge of MS-Office (Excel – Word – Teams -PowerPoint – Project) and experience in a document sharing system
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and independent; as well as ability to work cohesively within a team
Education/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a construction related role
- Educational level – Third level qualification in a construction related course
- Fluency in English (in both written and spoken)
- Be experienced in working within a construction team
- Full clean driving licence

Our facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 square meters of Light Gauge Steel Product per annum based on one 8 hour shift. This is equivalent to 2,000 standard Residential units per annum.
